WHAT ARE OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS?
Omega 3 fatty acids are long-chained, poly-unsaturated fatty acids that are components of triglycerides and other lipids in our body. Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Dehydroascorbic Acid (DHA) are the “healthy fats” that assist our bodies in performing a number of metabolic processes.* They help maintain cell membranes and are crucial for healthy brain matter, retinas and nervous tissues.*

The reason Omega 3s are considered “essential” fatty acids is because we must get them from our diet. Our bodies don’t make them on their own. Some other fatty acids can be eventually broken down and utilized in the same way as Omega 3, such as
Alpha- Linolenic Acids (ALA) found in flaxseed oil, but the EPA and DHA found in fish oil have been shown to be by far the most efficient and beneficial. There are food sources that can provide the Omega 3 our bodies need, including several types of fish and certain nuts. But often, these sources provide questionable amounts of Omega 3, and may be bringing other, less desirable things to the table as well – such as excess mercury or other toxins that are harmful to our body.

That’s why we searched the globe to bring you the cleanest and most concentrated source of the best quality Omega 3 we possibly could. For years, scientists and researchers studied the natives of Greenland as well as Inuit Indians because they showed extremely robust cardiovascular health—even though their diet is very high in fat. The secret is the type of fat they’re eating. The majority of their diet is based on sea mammals—which provide one of the best sources of Omega 3 essential fatty acids.

As a result of this and many other studies, the American Heart Association now recommends Americans add three servings of fatty fish to their diet per week.
Even though Omega 3 fatty acids are found in many of the foods we eat, studies show that fatty acids from marine oil are the most beneficial to our health.

THE FACTS ABOUT OMEGA 3, 6, 9…

All the different types of Omega fatty acids are important to our body, but only Omega 3 and Omega 6 are technically considered “essential.” The difference between the three is in how the fatty acids are linked together by carbon, and how our bodies go about breaking these fatty acids down. Both Omega 3 and 6 are considered “essential” because they must be consumed from our diet. The general American population regularly ingests more than enough Omega 6 and Omega 9. Adding the particular components of Omega 3 acids to keep the suggested ration of 4:1 of Omega 6 to 3 has been found to be extremely beneficial to good health.*

WE HAVE SEARCHED THE GLOBE TO BRING YOU ONE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY FISH OILS POSSIBLE!

Out Total Living™ Omega 3 Marine Lipid Concentrate is harvested from fish found in the clean waters of Norway. It is then processed using specialized molecular distillation to remove all detectable levels of metals, PCBs, and other toxins. This particular form of molecular distillation reduces the amount of “silt” or “residence” time, which guarantees that no trans fats are created during the process. This processing method also results in a concentrated level of EPA and DHA, bringing more benefits in a smaller dose. Many Omega 3 brands on the market use other purification systems that leave behind detectable levels of toxins, or potentially create trans-fats in the process.
